Key Responsibilities Diagnose, treat, and manage eye diseases and visual disorders. Perform cataract surgeries and other ophthalmic procedures. Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and follow-up care. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans. Manage ophthalmic emergencies and complications effectively. Maintain accurate patient records and surgical reports. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Participate in medical outreach programs and eye screening activities. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical ethics, and Ministry of Health regulations. Minimum Qualifications Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Ophthalmic Nursing, Ophthalmic Clinical Medicine, or related  medical field from a recognized institution. Additional training or specialization in Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery will be an  added advantage. Valid practicing license from the relevant regulatory body in Kenya. Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council or relevant  professional body where applicable. Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in ophthalmology services. Experience in cataract surgery and ophthalmic procedures will be an added advantage. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills. High level of professionalism and integrity. Skills and Competencies Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills. Strong patient management skills. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Good organizational and reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure.
