Job Description Summary We are seeking an Accountant to lead the Institute’s Accounting function. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire accounting cycle, ensure regulatory compliance, provide strategic financial insights, and lead the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the management and the Council. Key Result Areas Financial reporting, forecasting, and financial records management. Budget preparation, monitoring, variance analysis, and financial planning. Revenue, receivables, credit control, and cash flow management. Financial accounting systems management and operational efficiency. Internal controls, including accounting, payroll, asset safeguarding, and tax compliance. Financial analysis, advisory, and decision-support reporting. Audit coordination, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and continuous improvement of financial procedures. Job Specification/Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university, with a master’s degree as an added advantage. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and member of ICPAK in good standing. Minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably in the public sector or in a professional membership organization. Proficiency in advanced Excel skills and computerized accounting systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central), Strong communication and presentation abilities.
